1) Irish Wolfhounds are the largest dogs (in height).

1) Cats have no collarbone, hence why they are so flexible.

2) Although this is an extremely rare occurrence, a cat in New York City fell 27 stories and lived.

3) Cats can be trained to use a toilet, come when called, sit when told, heel, and jump through a hoop, eat with their paws, and roll over, fetch and many other small tricks. It just takes a heck of a lot of patience.

4) Cats spend 15 to 18 hours sleeping during the day.

5) Cats also spend 30% of their waking hours grooming themselves.

6) The surface of a cat's tongue is "hooked" like Velcro, making the grooming process easier.
Cats start grooming themselves following a certain pattern. They start by licking their mouths, cleaning their faces, moving to the front paws and eventually working their way down to their tails.

7) 40% of all cats are ambidextrous. The other 60% are either "right-pawed" or "left-pawed".
Cats need 1.8 seconds to turn themselves around to land properly if they fall.
